Ronald T. Lockenvitz, 74, of Bloomington, died at 5:17 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 3, 2011) at his home.

He was born Jan. 8, 1937 in Bloomington, the son of Harold and Evelyn Radka Lockenvitz. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dick and Gary Lockenvitz and a sister, Sharon Butler.

He married Dolores J. Berberet on Aug. 16, 1958 in Bloomington. She survives. Also surviving are his children, Jeff (Gina) Lockenvitz, Brian (Lisa) Lockenvitz and Laura (Todd) Miller; eight grandchildren and a brother, Dennis Lockenvitz.

Ron was a graduate of Bloomington High School and served with the Signal Corps in the U.S. Army. He was an advertising executive and owner of Hagerty & Lockenvitz Advertising. Ron was a member of Holy Trinity Church, the Bloomington Knights of Columbus and was a Fourth Degree Knight and past Faithful Navigator. A member of Lakeside Country Club, Ron was an avid golfer. He served on the Bloomington Library Board and volunteered for both the Arthritis Foundation and the Central Catholic High School Booster Club.
