He was the President of Employee Benefits Plans, Inc. in Omaha for many, many years, until his retirement in 1977. He was active and well-known in many professional organizations, and President of the Board of Happy Hollow Country Club. Avid golfer; proficient in Gin Rummy; sharp at pool, active stamp collector, and a 50 year 32-degree Mason.
He married Georgia Nelson in 1930, who survived him. Survived, also, by his son J. Michael, and his first son's wife Joan Carnaby. Her husband was Carroll's first son, Carroll Frederick "Fred" Eisenhart, Jr. who was killed in 1962 while serving in the US Air Force.
He was survived, too, by his brothers Russell, Warren, and Kye, and his sister Lennie. Carroll, Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, his son Fred, his brothers Ned Don, Charlie, Hugh, Wayne and John Theodore "Jackie" (who died at age 5); and his twin sisters Marty and Helen. Burial of his cremains took place on December 4, 2003, followed immediately by a very well-attended memorial service. His son Fred is buried beside him.
His funeral was conducted by Rev. J. Keith Cook.
