Leslie was the son of Frank Dillinger
and Amanda 'King' Dillinger. He was the
grandson of Steven Dillinger and Judith
'Baker'/Melton Dillinger.
Also, John Canada King and Ozine 'Wright'
King.
Les was married to Wilba 'Crumley'
and they were the parents of 3 boys:
John, Gary, and David. The family
lived in Afton for sometime, then
moved to the country on his parents
homeplace. Later he and Wilba moved
to Miami in 1980.
He was preceded in death by his wife
Wilba on March 5, 2009. Also his
parents, Frank and Amanda. (Papa &
Bitty Ma) His only brother, Wilbur
and 4 sisters: Opal Roberts, Jessie
Long, Ola Prochaska and Lela Barnes.
Les had served in the U.S. Air Force
during WW11 from 1942-1946 and then
served in the U.S. Army from 1950-51.
He was a member of the American Legion,
the 40 et 8, the Grand Lake Good Sam's
Club and had served with the Northeast
Oklahoma Veterans Funeral Detail. He
was the last of the Glider Pilots. Les
was a member of the Baptist church.
Les had worked at the B.F. Goodrich
Plant in Miami for 29 1/2 years as a
floor foreman, retiring in 1982.
Survivors include three sons, John W.
Dillinger and wife Sherri of Grove,
Oklahoma, Gary L. Dillinger and wife
Linda of Grove, Oklahoma, and David L.
Dillinger and wife Juanita of Fall
River, Kansas; Also one sister, Nola
Chamberlain of Afton, Oklahoma; 11
grandchildren, and 20 great grand
children.
Leslie's services were held at 1:00 p.m.
on December 6, 2011 at the Paul Thomas
Funeral Home in Miami, Oklahoma.
Rev. Marty Hughes officiated. The
Pallbearers was Glenn Johnston, Benny
Johnston, Bobby Johnston, Jason McCool,
Gary Ray Dillinger and Sack Burlson.
Military rites were conducted by the
American Legion Funeral Detail.
