"Harlan Elmo Sanders, son-in-law of Allie Watkins, was killed in a plane crash in Wisconsin. He was age 28, and a pipeline inspector for a pipeline company. He and his boss left in the plane Friday, expecting to be back in time to meet his sister Kay, who was coming to visit. When they did not arrive, a search was started, and they were found Tuesday, about 200 miles from Milwaukee. He married Wanda Watkins, of Garnett, in 1952. Three children survive, a son, age 4, and daughters 2 1/2 and 1. They lived in West Allis, Wisconsin. Funeral held at Farris Funeral Home June 18 and burial in Garnett cemetery. He was born Jan. 17, 1932, at Oak Grove, LA."
