Lillian attended school at the Arkansas Valley Schools, near where she was born.
A Christian all of her life, She was Saved at the age of 13. She united in Holy Matrimony to L. D. Borens at the age of 15 and their union was blessed with 15 children. Mr. Borens preceded her in deaht on March 18, 1971.
Sister Lillian would have church in her house with her dear friends, Betty Palmer, Ms. Odessa and Sister Mildred Hytche. While living in Tullahassee, she became a member of United Temple, under Pastor James Singleton. She was a prayer warrior for the Lord and loved everybody.
With her loving family near her side, on Tuesday afternoon, November 29, 2011 at her home in Red Bird, Oklahoma, "Jesus beckoned and she moved to the Upper Room." She was preceded in death by her husband, and other relatives.
Those that wait on the Lord; her children, Clarence Borens, Dee Anna and James Taylor, Raymond Borens, Benjamin and Thermaple Borens, Norma Walker, Ervin and Pamela Borens, Leonard and Loretta Borens, Katherine and Robert Parker, Carl and Darlene Borens, Ellen Borens, Alfonzo Borens, Michael and Peggy Borens, John and Jonita Borens, Keith and Karla Borens and William and Quenda Borens; sixty-two grandchildren; seventy-two great-grandchildren; and a caravan of other relatives, friends and Saints of God that will forever cherish her memory.
The Hour of Tribute will be on Monday, December 5, 2011 at 1:00 PM in the St. Mark Baptist Church, 1020 S. 2nd Street in Muskogee. Burial will follow in Clarksville Cemetery, near Porter, Oklahoma.
