He served as a veteran of four years with the Navy, and was a furloughed employee of the Triangle Cable Company, New Brunswick, N.J., when he was killed in a one-car crash. He was a passenger in a 1956 Pontiac sedan, driven by Francis F. Petrichko, who was hospitalized due to multiple injuries. The accident occurred on Route 940 in Tobyhanna Township, six miles from Blakeslee Corners, just east of the entrance to Brady Lane. The car was traveling west on the two-lane highway, ran off the road, and struck a tree.
