John Baker went to his Heavenly Father Sunday, June 26, 2011. He died peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by family. John was 91. John is retired from the US Navy and is a member of the VFW and the Retired Enlisted Association. John enlisted in the Navy in 1942 and served during WWII in the Pacific and during the Vietnam War. John was in the airborne early warring VW-I, Squadron One Division, retiring in 1971 with the rank of Chief Petty Officer (ADRC). John married Frances Smith December 16, 1944 and shared 58 years together. Frances proceeded John in death in 2002. John is survived by two sons and one daughter, John Baker Jr., Garry Baker (Chiree), Neosho MO., and Debora Burrows, Colorado Springs. Also by 13 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren. Viewing: 9-10 am Thursday June 30th with a Service to follow at 10:00 Mountain View Mortuary Gravesite: Fort Logan Cemetery 2:15 pm
