Mrs. Hooks was a lifelong resident of Treutlen County and was preceded in death by her parents, Cobe and Mary Toler Durden, husband, Andrew E. Hooks, and son, Allen Tracy Hooks. She was a homemaker and was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include four children, Andy Hooks and LaGail Knight of Soperton, Judie (Robert) Turner of Vidalia, Marty (Donna) Hooks of St. Marys, Ga.; three sisters, Mary Burgess of Macon, Mollie Green and Laura Gillis of Soperton; a brother, Fred Durden of Soperton; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held in Harmony Cemetery at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 3. There will be no visitation.
