Mary "Toby" Virginia Gollehorn Armstrong, 65, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2009, at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was born on Feb. 6, 1944, in Chilhowie, Va., to the late William and Rachel Walls Gollehorn and had lived most of her life in the Bristol area. She was a retired seamstress from Gordon Garments and had also worked for Gaylord Classics. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon "Sissy" Armstrong.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Robert Lewis Armstrong; three daughters, Karen Deel and husband Doug, Rebecca Tester and husband Dustin and Sharon Armstrong; seven sons, Robbie Armstrong and wife Karina, Will Armstrong, Daniel Armstrong and fiance Cathy Jones, Josh Armstrong, Joseph Armstrong, Jacob Armstrong and fiance April Geiger and Jeremy Armstrong; three sisters, Betty Walden and husband Junior, Early Booher and Juliet Gollehorn; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Blevins Funeral and Cremation Services. The funeral service will follow with the Rev. Sam Haynes officiating. The committal and interment will be held in Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Chilhowie, Va. Blevins Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family of Mrs. Armstrong.
