Mr. Mitchell was corporate vice president of Lockheed Aircraft Corp. and International Sales in Burbank, Calif., from 1967 until retiring in 1974. He had been executive vice president of sales for Lockheed Corp. in Marietta, Ga. from 1954-1967. Mr. Mitchell was a graduate of Springfield High School and the University of Illinois at Chicago.
He was a member of Bel Air Country Club in Los Angeles, Calif., Cherokee Town and Country Club in Atlanta, Ga., Allatoona Yacht Club and was lieutenant governor of Toastmasters International.
Surviving are his wife, Georgia Marie Muir Mitchell; two daughters, Lynn E. Mitchell of Eagle, Colo., and Marcia E. Mitchell of Washington, D.C.; four grandchildren; and a brother, Charles C. of Escondido, Calif.
