Mr. Wilbur fought with Company A of the 25th Regiment, a New York cavalry outfit. His yellowed discharge papers, treasured by Mrs. Snyder, reveal that he entered the Union Army Nov. 28, 1863, and was discharged June 27, 1865. Further details about Mr. Wilbur's military career are not known. Mr. Wilbur died in 1911. Mrs. Snyder later married John Snyder, of Conklin, who died in 1936.
