MARY CLEO COX, 82, a lifelong resident of Farmers Branch, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 1995. She was born on February 19, 1913 in Ovilla, Texas to John Holland and Margaret Reynolds Cox. Mrs. West was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Farmers Branch. A loving sister, spouse, mother and grandmother, Mrs. West is survived by her brother, Clarence "Dobe" Cox, Irving, son & daughter-in-law, William L. and Sandra Thurman. Lewisville, daughter and son-in-law, Myranell and Frank Husung, Farmers Branch, step-daughter, Ruth Shelburn and husband Gee, Midland; nine grand grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. West was married to Myron Beery Thurman in the early 1940's. Mrs. West was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. "Archie" West, son, Edwin Tracey and eight brothers and sisters. Services 11:--- a.m. Tuesday, September 26, 1995. FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH of Farmers Branch. Reverend Sam Underwood officiating. Interment Farmers Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Monday, September 25, 1995 at the funeral home.
