Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother returned to the arms of her husband on December 1, 2011.

Ruth Lahree Ashworth was born October 1, 1929 in Cedar City, Utah to Myrtle and Ezra Ashworth. She was the youngest of their seven children.

She met Ralph Edgar Bonner in Beaver, Utah and married him on June 3, 1946. Their lives were full of joy and love. Together they raised three children.

Ruth was an incredible artist, filling her home (and the homes of her family and friends) with her paintings. She was a member of the Intermountain Society of Artists for many years and enjoyed travelling all over the West with them, making many lifelong friends. She was devoted to her family and always urged us to strive towards doing our best, no matter the situation or outcome.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, her son Steven R. Bonner, and her siblings. She is survived by her children, Bonnie Bowman (Robert Pyper), Sandra Calder, and J'Nette Bonner; her grandchildren, Shane Strasburg, Kim Bowman, and Azure, Lucas, Matthew, and Shurrie Calder; Felicia and Spencer (Amy) Bonner, Marci (Art) Higgins, and Rhyse Bonner; and her four great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Monday, December 5, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home. 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West), Taylorsville.
A graveside service and interment will be held at a later date in the Hurricane Cemetery, Hurricane, Utah.
