Claude Wellborn, 79, died Sunday at the Sid Peterson Hospital after several weeks' illness. Graveside services were held for him Tuesday afternoon in the Center Point Cemetery with Rev N.A. Mills, pastor of the Baptist Church officiating.. The services were under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
A native of Center Point, he had spent his entire life there and was a retired farmer and ranchman. He was the last of the children of Samuel and Katherine Miller, who came to Kerr County from Gonzales in 1872.
His immediate survivors are his wife and two children, Lamar Wellborn of El Paso and Mrs. Estelle Wellborn Tewksbury of San Antonio; and two grandchildren.
