Kenneth D. Gray, 70, of Ammon, died February 18, 1991 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of a heart attack.


He was born January 24, 1921 at Rigby to George Samuel and Edna Davey Gray. He grew up in Rexburg and graduated from Madison High School. He also attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and the University of Wisconsin. When he was 20, he moved to Idaho Falls. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and spent 14 months as a prison of war.


On June 5, 1950 he married Olean Coleman at Rigby and they were later divorced. He married Ann McKnight at Elko and they were divorced. On August 8, 1979 he married Betty Bantegul at Manila, Philippines. He was worked for Western Union, Bellville Manufacturing, Pacific Bag Co., and was self-employed at Ken Gray Sales, Inc.


He was a member of the LDS Church. He was a pilot and flew in local air shows during the 1950s. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and also the Bowling Hall of Fame. He was an avid bowler and had bowled a perfect 300 game.


Survivors include his wife of Ammon; his children, Kenneth R. Gray and Mrs. Brad (Carol) Larsen, both of Idaho Falls, and Mrs. David (Teresa) Card of Salt Lake City; three brothers and two sisters, Doug Gray of Shelley, Neil Gray and Merlin Gray both of Menan, Sharal Stewart of Idaho Falls, and Mrs. Joe (Arlie) Melius of Billings, Montana; and three grandchildren.


Funeral services will be Friday at the Ammon LDS 5th Ward with Bishop Gerald E. Mortimer officiating. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
