DEATH YEAR CONFLICT - The photo does not clearly show the dates. The transcript of person who took photos said 1839 and Thomas Harvey Robinson's 1906 letter to his sister says 1839. But all will information and other estate information points to 1840. Also the only sons not mentioned were: James and Samuel; who had both moved west to Alabama & Mississippi by 1840. Because of this dispute, I list the dispute and side with 1840.

If you would like to do further research:
1) The will of "William Robinson" is Abbeville District, SC., Box 82, Pack 2021 - Will is dated Jan 8, 1840. Proved Aug 17, 1840.
2) Estate appraisal document and 3) estate sale transaction document were done on 16 Nov 1840. 4) Warranty of appraisal done on 1 Dec 1840. 5) Final estate settlement done on 11 Mar 1842.

Please note that his wife's tombstone has her name spelled "Roberson". Please note that his wife's tombstone refers to being the wife of "William Roberson". Please note that her tombstone is next to his.
