TABOR CITY -- Emma L. Gore, 84, died Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at Columbus Regional Healthcare.
Born on September 1, 1927, in Brunswick County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Robert B. and Elba Bennett Hawes.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Albert C. Gore, Sr. of Tabor City; sons, Albert C. Gore, Jr. (Denise), Maurice J. Hawes (Rita), Trevor J. Gore; sisters, Beth Connor, Elba R. Troutman; four grandchildren, Joseph Hawes, Brandon Hawes, Megan A. Gore, Wendy G. Williams; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, December 3 at Olyphic Baptist Church. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
