Funeral services for Mrs. Ila Spivey Davis will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home with Reverend Wesley Jackson officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday, March 11, 2008 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 pm Burial will be at Memory Lawn Cemetery, Natchitoches, LA.

Mrs. Ila Davis was born June 25, 1912 in Tabor City, NC to Henry Clay Spivey and Letie Faircloth Spivey. The Davis family moved to Natchitoches in 1948 where she was a member of Coldwater Baptist Church. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school for many years. Mrs Ila worked at Fishers Sporting Goods Store during her adult life.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son George Clayton Davis and wife Judith of Wellington, AL. Two daughters Carolyn Eloise Davis Kilpatrick and husband Robert L. of Monroe, LA and Marcia Claudette Davis of Natchitoches. One Sister Mabel L. Mitchell of Tampa FL 7 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Emmett Ray Davis, her parents Henry and Letie Spivey and one Grand Daughter Vicki Kilpatrick.

Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice in Mrs. Ila's name.
