Reva "Mae" (Egnor) Hicks, 88, of Cross lanes, WV, formerly of Yawkey, was greeted by the Heavenly Angels on Wednesday, February 13, 2013. She was born on August 8, 1924 in Lincoln County close to Alkol, one of ten children born to the late Shelt and Dolly Stone Egnor.

She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Agnes, who died as a toddler, and Lena Griffith; four brothers, Marvin, Raymond, Ronald and Junior; her husband of 53 years, L. E. "Steve" Hicks.

She is survived by their son, Terry and his wife, Teresa, of Cross Lanes; sisters, Irene Pennington of Alum Creek and Mary "Brownie" Hager of Alkol, WV; brother, Kerman of Dunedin, FL; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Amy Baptist Church at Yawkey for over fifty years. She and Steven owned and operated Hicks Pennzoil at Yawkey for thirty years before retiring.
