Mrs. Veda Barre Yonce, 85, of 208 Barre St., Lexington, widow of George P. Yonce, died Saturday.
Born in Lexington, she was a daughter of the late William Walter and Elizabeth Caugham Barre. Mrs. Yonce was a piano teacher for 62 years having taught in Johnston, Batesburg and Lexington.
She was a member of St Stephen's Lutheran Church the L.C.W. and Lexington Athena Club. Mrs. Yonce was a graduate of Winthrop College.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Edward (Cecile) Kyzer of Lexington; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m.today at St Stephen's Lutheran Church conducted by the Rev. Thomas W. Corbell.
Burial will be at 4 p.m. in Mount Olive Cemetery, Johnston.
Pallbearers will be Doug Shealy, Gray MacCaulay, Hodges T. Hannon, Kerry Brown, William C. Black and Robert Schaeffer.
Memorials may be made to St Stephen's Lutheran Church or St John's Lutheran Church Johnston.
