Migrated from Connecticut to Milton Twp, OH in 1807. Started building his house in 1811. The stone was quarried and cut by hand, the clay tramped by cattle, bricks made by hand, and the nails were hand made, and the timber cut and shaped by hand. There were seven fireplaces and one dutch oven with book cases over each fireplace. On the first floor were seven rooms and one hall way and two stairways and on the second floor five rooms and three stairways. This structure is still standing
