Lois E. WALSH, 72, 411 North Tucker St., Mentone, died at 3:50 a.m. Friday at Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw. She had been ill for three months.
She was born in Mentone to Dewey and Ethel FISHER WHETSTONE and was a lifetime Mentone resident. On June 1, 1941 she married Dwayne BERGSTROM, who died in 1945. On
May 7, 1946 she married Anthony "Pat" WALSH, who died Feb. 5, 1996. She worked at Mentone Egg Products and was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Warsaw. She was an honorary member of the Mothers of World Wars.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Michael "Dixie" SUMME, Akron; Mrs. Gene "Bea" HUGHES, Mentone, and Mrs. Dennis "Patti" GRUENEWALD, St. Paul, Minn;; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and three sisters, Doris LINTON, North Webster; Mrs. Willis "Edna" COWER, Lapaz; and Mrs. Alan "Mildred" GINDLE, Warsaw. Preceding in death with her husbands were one sister, Mary Lois WHETSTONE, and one brother, Lowell [WHETSTONE].
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at King Memorial Home, Mentone, with the Rev. Don. POYSER officiating. Burial will be in the Harrison Center Cemetery, Etna Green. Friends
may call from 2-8 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be made to the Mentone Emergency Medical Service.
