Daughter of Dr. William Kemp and Mary McCandlish Gatewood.

MARION - Miss Mary Gatewood, 63, of Marion died last night in the Mullins hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held in the Episcopal Church of the Advent here Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock with the Rev. Lawton Riley officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Gatewood was a daughter of the late Dr. W. K. and Mrs. Mary McCandlish Gatewood of West Point, Va. and her early life was spent in Virginia. For many years she made her home in Marion with her sister, the late Mrs. T. J. Moore.

Miss Gatewood was a devoted and loyal member of the Episcopal church and gave untiring of her time and energy to its work.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. O. Emmerson Smith of Portsmouth, Va.
