Graveside service for Rhoda C. Anders, 99, is Nov. 30, 2011, at Pollard Cemetery in Mineral Wells, with Rev. Roy Smith of True Lite Christian Fellowhip officiating, under the direction of Thomas Funeral Home.

She was born Dec. 24, 1911, to Thomas Ross and Armerkia Ross, in Hopkin County, Sulphur Springs, Texas. She grew up and accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. In 1929 she moved to Rains County, Point, Texas. After graduating from Richland High School she met and married John Taylor Anders on Sept. 29, 1932. To this union two sons were born, who preceded her in death, Jay T. Anders, and Billy James Anders.

She moved to Mineral Wells in 1939, and in 1950 she moved to Midland, Texas. She was a seamstress and housekeeper.

Survivors include two sisters, Willie B. Nash, of Dallas, and Marie Cook, of Lubbock, Texas; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
