Mrs Hazel Holloway Deavers, 55, of Rt.1, Linville died Thursday morning at Rockingham Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for 10 days. She had been in failing health for a year.
Mrs Deavers was born June 13, 1921 in Harrisonville, Mo. and was a daughter of the late Myron G Holloway and Mary
Taylor Holloway. Mrs Holloway was a dietitian and had lived in this area for seven years. She had worked at the Cheery Corner at Rockingham Memorial Hospital for four years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church at Harrisonville, Mo, but attended Calvary Baptist Church at Timberville.
On May 17, 1970 she married William A Deavers, who survives.
Also surviving are a sister, Mrs John Elliott of Cameron, Mo; three brothers, Lester Holloway of Pleasant Hill, Mo,
Myron G. Holloway Jr. of San Jose, Calif. and Archie D. Holloway of Linville; two half-sisters, Mrs Irene Webster of Harrisonville, Mo. and Mrs Velma Cook of Palo Alto, Calif.; a half-brother Gilbert H. Holloway of Neosho, Mo;
a step-sister, Mrs Marie Taylor of Sun City, Calif, and a step-brother Richard Robinson of Shawnee Mission, Ks.
The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at the McMullen Funeral Home near Harrisonburg by the Rev G.P.
Schelling. Burial will be in the Singers Glen Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home or the Deavers home.
