MRS. WILLIAM GUMP DIES OF SENILITY AT AGE OF 78
Mrs. William Gump, 78, of four and half miles northwest of Garrett died Monday at 3:30 a.m. at the Lowe Nursing home in Butler of senility. She had been in poor health many years and was a patient at the nursing home 17 months.
The body was take to the Geo. W. ller mortuary in Garrett where it will remain until Wednesday at 11 a.m. It will then be removed to Christian Union church, northwest of Garrett, where it will lie in state until services at 2 p.m. The Rev. F. Hazen Sparks of the Garrett Methodist church, of which she was a member, will officiate and burial will follow in Union cemetery, northwest of Garrett.
Mrs. Gump was the former Ettie Ober and she was born Oct. 30, 1873, in Butler township. She and Mr. Gump were married Jan. 2, 1898, and they lived at the late residence for 45 years. He died May 4, 1945.
Surviving are a son, Forrest Gump of northwest of Garrett; one daughter, Mrs. Nellie Swander of two and one half miles north of Garrett on road 327 and one grandchild.
