DOVER, Harry Lewis Thompson, 73, of 1625 Temple School Road, died Saturday at York Hospital. He was the husband of Diane I. Thompson.

The Cremation Society of Pennsylvania, 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, is in charge of arrangements.

He was born in Kingston, Okla., the son of the late Ivy Rose (Mimi) Griffith and Russell White Thompson.

Mr. Thompson retired as sales executive for Wells Aluminum and EFCO Corp. He and his wife moved to Pennsylvania from St. Louis in 1981.

During World War II, he was stationed in England as a pilot and captain in the 8th Air Force, 614th Bomb Squadron, 401st Bomb Group. He flew B-17 bombers over Europe and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. Following the war, he attended Georgetown University, School of Foreign Service.

Mr. Thompson also is survived by three daughters, four sons, six grandchildren, two sisters, and a brother. 05-06-95
