LEWIS ALEXANDER WIDENER

A good Christian man and a kind, loving father has been called to the Great Beyond.
Lewis Alexander Widener was born on February 24, 1854, and departed this fife on October 30, 1929.
He was united in marriage to Sophia Adeline Hall on December 27, 1875, and to this union of whom are living except two who died in infancy Those living are: Mrs. Fayette Piercy, Mrs. John Box and Bert Widener, all of Neosho: Mrs. Hiram Winchester, near Stella; Mrs. Louise Estes, of Idaho, and Sammie Widener of McNatt. Mrs. Widener preceded her husband in death about nine years ago.
Mr. Widener died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Winchester, near Stella. All of the children were present except one daughter, Mrs. Estes. The remains were laid to rest in the I. O. O. F cemetery by the side of his wife, Rev. T. M. Norris officiating.
Mr. Widener was always ready to assist those in need.
While we will miss him, we would not, if we call him back to this world of toil and sorrow. He is at rest with his Savior. __ A Relative
