             Cox Funeral Is Set Today

Funeral services for Claude Howery Cox, 57, who died at his Eccles home Friday, will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Mount Tabor Baptist church. Burial will be in the Calfee cemetery at Mount Tabor.

Officiating ministers will be the Rev. E. L. Lowery, of Clarksburg, and minsters of the Eccles Baptist and community churches.

Cox's death was attributed to cancer. He was a native of Pocahontas, Virginia, where he was born on October 28, 1886, the son of Francis Marion Cox and Mary Louise Bailey Cox.

For the past eighteen years he has been a resident of Eccles, and was employed by the Crab Orchard Improvement company as a supply clerk. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and the Knights of Pythians.

In addition to his widow, Mrs. Margaret Lena Ralston Cox, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. J. P. Falin, of Eccles, Mrs. I. H. Lowery, of Eccles; two sisters, Mrs. O. S. Powers, of Bluefield, Virginia, Mrs. S. S. Bowman, of Chilhowie, Virginia, and seven grandchildren.

Active pallbearers will include: J. L. Pruett, Roy Keesee, L. D. Miser, Garner Phipps, L. T. Gay, Floyd Minor, Monroe Minor, and Carl Fleenor.
