This from Hollis Davison:
Correct information follows for the Larkin Holt burial based on service and pension records:

Larkin Holt B: 1825 AL died Feb 28, 1863 as result of accident Iron Mountain RR. He was a Private in Company A 24th MO Vols. Burial in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery plot 26 0 5915.

Widow Rachel Holt applied for her pension May 13, 1863. Application No. 21300 Certificate 144845. Listed Larkin's service as Company A 24th MO Inf.

The following different person's war record and information is combined with the above Holt and needs to be corrected:

Sgt Larkin L. Holt was killed in battle Sep 1, 1863 and is buried in an unmarked grave adjacent to the Powder River, MT. Larkin L Holt entered service from Linn Creek, Camden County, MO and was husband of Sarah Montier Holt and son of Littleberry and Susanna Driskill Holt. Larkin L Holt is my family and should not be confused with the Alabama born Larkin Holt. These are two different men.

Do you know who is a point of contact to provide copies of official records to prove this egregious error that mixes my ancestral relative up with the wrong person?

Best regards, Hollis Davison

Hello, I don't know if you can help me or not.I have been researching the Powder River Exp.I was researching the soldier Larkin L Holt and came across the Larkin Holt memorial you maintain.I also notice that there was a section in the bio. from a Hollis Davison about the other Larkin Holt they state the their Larkin L Holt died Sept 1 1863 at Powder River which is not correct since the Expedition did not start till July/August 1865. The death date is incorrect and where he signed on is incorrect. I have the docs to prove this also this Hollis Davison's email is no longer valid. So I don't know if you would want to remove the part that Hollis Davison wrote in the bio. I have a memorial for the other Larkin L Holt on Find a Grave memorial no.162266730 Thanks Margie #47207928
