Ariail A. Andries, 85, of Alexandria, died Saturday, June 17, 2006 in his residence.
Mr. Andries spent his early years as a farmer. He then went to work for the Rich Plan. Upon retiring from Cudahay, he worked as a department manager for K-Mart.
He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Julia Andries; his brothers and sisters, A.V., Blanche, Conrad, Elizabeth, Gertrude, Leo and Marshall.
Ariail Andries is survived by his wife, Joan Andries of Alexandria; five children, Walter Andries of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Dr. Martin Andries of Carthage, Texas, Ivy Andries of Marksville, Cynthia Davis of Deville, and Ariail "Bud" Andries, Jr. of Alexandria; two sisters, Agnes S. Roberts of Libuse, and Elizabeth S. Charpentier of Montogomery, Texas; two brothers, Jerome Andries of Otis, and Dr. James Andries of Lecompte; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Friends are asked to call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 18, 2006 at John Kramer & Son and from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., June 19, 2006.
A Christian Wake service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Sunday in the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Walter Andries, Dr. Martin Andries, Bud Andries, Jr., Greg Davis, Ariail A. Andries, III and Christopher Andries.
