This marker for Seth probably is a cenotaph. At a minimum, it would have taken 8 days in perfect travel weather to go the 235 (today's roads) miles from Saranac to Northampton. It probably took longer than that whether travel was strictly by road or the family took advantage of the waterways. Moving an unembalmed body that distance for that amount of time in the middle of July does not make sense.
