Marcelina Beatrice Bustamente, age 59 of El Campo, passed away on February 2, 2011. She was the 11th child born to Maria Castro-Tristan and Primitivo Tristan in Ganado. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Virginia and husband David Vasquez of Houston; brothers Donnie, Raymond and Primitivo "Tio JR" Tristan all of Ganado, and Pete Tristan of San Antonio.

She attended Ganado ISD and met the love of her life Sebero Bustamente at the age of 16. They moved to El Campo and were married on September 6, 1969. Together they had four children Vicki, Sebero Jr. "Baby Sabe", Leticia "Tisha" and Patrick. "Baby Sabe" passed at the early age of two. Together Buster and Beatrice raised their children in the Catholic faith. She was active in the St. Robert's Church and a member of the Altar Society and always enjoyed assisting the elderly ladies of the congregation. After raising her children, she volunteered at the local ARC. She was later employed by ARC at the 2nd Time Around Resale. She then began her career of 15 years at Richmond State School working individuals with developmental disabilities and later retired from Texana Center. She loved working with individuals with disabilities and they became part of her life and her family's life. She was involved in Special Olympics and also volunteered her home for individuals who had no family members on holidays.
Beatrice enjoyed her life together with her husband. They traveled and would often take road trips to the casino's. She enjoyed cooking and caring for her family as well as Tejano dances and card games with friends and spending time with family.

She leaves her cherished legacy to her loving children and grandchildren, daughter Vicki L. Perks and Matt Hildebrand, and her children Amber Perks and Aaron Champion, and Ashley Perks of El Campo; daughter Leticia and Eric Perry and their children Eric, Daesha and Taerikk of El Campo; son Patrick and Daisy Bustamente of San Antonio. Her siblings Mary Tristan, Georgia and Armando Rymers; Isidro and Carmen Tristan; Lydia Tristan; Martin and Olga Tristan all of San Antonio; Carolina and Lupe Cortez and Josie of Ganado; Laura and Albert Mendez of El Campo; Carlos and Toni Tristan of Houston; along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and Godchildren which she loved all very much.

Visitation will begin at 2 pm on Friday with a Parish Rosary to be recited at 6 pm at Triska Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, February 5, 2011, at St. Robert's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park.
