Opelousas-Charles Preston Hollier,81,died at 11:20 p.m.Saturday at his home.

He had been ill for four years.

Hollier was a retied barber and operated a barber shop in Opelousas for 47 years.

His body is at Lafond and Son Funeral Home.Services will be held at 9 a.m.Monday at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.Burial will be in the St.Landry Catholic Cemetery.

Hollier is survived by his widow,the former Josephine Robin;two sons,Frederick Hollier,Baton Rouge,and Earl Hollier,Fulshear,TX;three saughters,Mrs.Larry Lacombe,Opelousas;Mrs.Milton Andrus,Church Point;Mrs.James R.Fitzgibbon,Oklahoma City,Okla;five sisters,Mrs.R.P.Collins,Port Arthur,Tex;Mrs.H.P.Robin,Port Neches,Tex;Mrs.R.P.Dunbar Sr.,Opelousas;Mrs.Roger Dulifhilo,Opelousas,and Miss Easter Hollier,Opelousas;10 grandchildren;and 7 great-grandchildren.
