Eric attended private schools. He graduated from Dunbar Vocational High School. He met Sylvia Bone in high school. They had one child, Paris Donel. Later, he had another son, Gregory Donel.
In the late 60's and early 70's, Eric worked in construction with his father. He was rehabbing homes when he became ill in late November.
Eric loved washing cars and was very good at it. All of his friends and family knew that he could clean a car inside and out better than any car wash or detail shop.
Eric started going to church with his friends Omar Dixon. Eric accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Eric leaves to cherish his memory: his sons, Paris Donel of Chicago, Illinois and Gregory Donel of Dayton, Ohio; two grandsons, Earnest Donel and Ra-Shawn Donel; and a host of other relatives and friends.
