Clara Jane Shuster (nee Ackerman): 69; Elyria, died Wednesday March 15th at Elyrial Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Born in Lorain, Mrs. Shuster was an Elyria resident most of her life. A graduate of Elyria High School, she retired as a bookkeeper with Western Reserve Mortgage Co.
Survivors include her husband, Merle "Pete"; son Randy of Grafton; 2 grandchildren; a sister, Emma Kubuski of Florida; brothers Frederick Ackerman of Sheffield; Richard Ackerman of Sheffield Lake; Walter Ackerman of Athens, OH. Mrs. Shuster was preceded in death by sons: Jeffrey & Russell; daughter LindaLee & a sister, Alma O'Connor.
Visitation will be Friday at Curtis Scheuffler Funeral Home, Elyria where memorial services will be conducted Saturday morning, March 18th with Rev. Oden Haynes officiating. Burial will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Twp. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Shuster may be made to the American Cancer Fund.
