Born May 2, 1932, in North Jackson, he was the son of John P. and Sarah (Baird) Acri Sr.
He retired in 2000 as owner/operator of Acri Studios in North Jackson after 50 years of service to the community as a photographer.
Mr. Acri was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the First Fererated Church of North Jackson, active with Boy Scout Troop No.105, a member of American Legion Post 737 in Lake Milton and an Honorary Emeritus member of the Professional Photographer's Society of Ohio, as well as Professional Photographer's of America.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Joan (Anderson); children, Joan E. (Walter) Purnell, John E. (Anne) Acri, Jean E. Acri and Jane E. Acri; and grandchildren, Christine (Kevin) Gowdy, Amanda Purnell, Alex and Evan Acri.
Friends will be received at the Lane family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m..
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at the First Federated Church in North Jackson at 11 a.m., where friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to either Boy Scout Troop 105 in care of First Federated Church, Hospice of the Valley, or the National Parkinson's Foundation, Central Southeast Ohio, 2800 Corporate Exchange Drive, Suite 265, Columbus, Ohio 43231.
