William Maruska, 93, funeral Wednesday
Funeral services for William Maruska, 93, of Elma, will be held Wednesday, March 17, from the Our Lady of Lourdes church with the Rev. Henry Dunkel officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes cemetery with military rites by Legion Post No. 135 of Cresco.
Mr. Maruska died Sunday in Rochester.
He was born Oct. 16, 1888, son of Francis and Margaret (Rausch) Maruska in Howard County. He attended the rural schools of Howard and Winneshiek counties. He was Veteran of W.W.I and a farmer until his retirement.
He is survived by one son, Kenneth of Elma, one stepson, Robert Hosek of St. Paul; four grandchildren; one brother, Edward of Detroit, Michigan; two sisters Mary Wells, Cresco, and Anna Smith of Fort Atkinson.
Proceeding him in death are his wife, and four brothers and one sister.
