William "Will" is the son of Sandy Shoe and Julia Ann Smith. He married Jennie/Ginny Earnhardt and they are the parents of Dock Frank Shoe and Julia S Shoe. Will worked as a carpenter. His wife was admitted to the Western NC asylum late in life, at age 62 and died there 8 years later. She is buried at the asylum.
