Myrtle Irene Mapes, 88 of Bellevue, died October 25, 2003, at Eaton County Medical Care Facility, Charlotte, Michigan. She was born August 4, 1915, to Silas B. and Minnie (Boorer) Dull in Barry County, Michigan. Myrtle married Walter Mapes on March 24, 1932. She was survived by daughters, Barbara Colburn of Bellevue, Winifred (Ernie) Granfors of Jackson; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Lavona Majeski of Shelby, Cecile Anderson of Nashville; and brother, Hubert Dull of Nashville. She was preceded in death by brothers, Guy, Loring, Lester and Dewey Dull; and sisters, Olive Sears and Doris Martin.Myrtle was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church and the Maple Leaf Grange, she regularly attended Bellevue and Olivet senior citizen groups and she was the original member of the Evans-Mayo Birthday Club. She enjoyed gardening and selling her home grown produce.
