Arch Brown
NEW LONDON – Arch Brown, 72, New London, died at 11:45 a.m. Monday, Sept., 1 at his home.
He was born here May 24, 1908, to Thomas and Carrie Martin Brown. He married Violet Tripp Jan. 7, 1931, at Monmouth, Ill.
He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Mt. Pleasant.
Surviving: Three sons, Clifford, Muscatine; Raymond, Engelwood, Colo.; Jack, New London; daughter, Mrs. Barbara McSorley, West Burlington; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Yeaman and Mrs. Margaret Carson, both of Davenport; two brothers, Wilbur and Woodrow, both of New London.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Elliot chapel, Elders Earl Humphrey and William Knox; Brooks Cemetery.
