They married January 29, 1837 in Coweta County, Georgia.
1850 He was living in Heard County, Georgia with his parents.
1870 He was living in Ft. Gaines, Clay County, Georgia with his wife, Jane and children Victoria, age 10, Elouise, age 8, Josephine, age 6 and Susan "Susie" age 4.
1900 He and Jane are living in Mill Creek, Colquit County Georgia with their daughter Nellie and Son-in-Law W.O. Beard.
He died in Clay County, GA May 14, 1907
William married Jane Prudence Foster on September 10, 1857
They had 7 children:
Eloise Mann, married Levi Jesse George
Susie Mann - married 1st Levi Brantley George, married 2nd Samuel Lewis Houston
Jody Mann married T. J. Wolf
Nellie Mann married W. O. Beard
Eugene B. Mann
Lorine Mann, died in Boston, GA married UNK Smith
Ernestine Mann, married Wilson Lumpkin Joiner
Lorine and Ernestine were twins, born about 1878.

CSA pension application on line in GA virtual vault confirms birth date of Nov. 19, 1837. He enlisted and fought from 1861-1862 in Company I, 51st regiment, GA infantry. Then reenlisted in 1863 in Co. D 10th, Ga Militia. He states his wife is an invalid. He is also listed on "Roster of Confederate Soldiers of Colquitt Co, Georgia", maintained by the Moultrie, GA UDC.
