TERRE HAUTE — Betty Jean Joy, 77, of West Terre Haute, passed away at 6:44 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011, in Union Hospital in Terre Haute. She was born Sept. 27, 1934, in Terre Haute, to John Reedy and Sylvia Butcher Reedy.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Jack D. Joy; three children, Danny Joy of Tampa, Fla., David Joy and his wife Jenny of Tulsa, Okla., and Debra Graham and her
husband, Joedy of Plainfield; her stepfather, Denny Wilson of Terre Haute; a sister-in-law, Rita Brown of Terre Haute; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Randy Joy.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. Third St., in West Terre Haute, with Sisters Betty Hopf and Dorothy Rasche officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today and prior to services Saturday.
