As a young man Bobby grew up in the Holdenville area where he graduated from high school. Soon after high school Bobby was inducted in to the Oklahoma National Guard. He was initially stationed in Ft. Jackson, South Carolina where he attended basic training. Upon his return from basic training Bobby was introduced to the love of his life Bevalene Grigsby. The couple was soon united in marriage on January 2, 1965 in Arkansas. The couple established their initial home in Arkansas before moving to Okmulgee, Oklahoma. During his time in Okmulgee Bobby gained employment with R and L Welding. Bobby and Bevalene soon moved to Cleveland, Oklahoma where they have continued to reside. Bobby was one of very few people with the ability to resurface drilling bits back to original specifications.
Bobby was a man that loved being around his family. He was a devoted husband, daddy, brother and pa paw. One of his greatest accomplishments other than his family was returning to further his knowledge at vo-tech where he learned the trade of television and radio repair.
