Born in Bolivar, TN she was preceded by her parents, Hilda and E. Newsom Smith and brother, Eugene Smith.
She leaves behind her husband, James L. Matlock; son, Jimmy Matlock and daughter, Lisa Matlock.
She retired from Ohio Casualty & Life Insurance Company and was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
Entombment in the mausoleum at Memorial Park Cemetery.
