Mrs. Virda Lee (Smith) Arney, 84, of Livingston, died Saturday, May 13, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital.
The family of Mrs. Arney chose cremation with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Arney was a homemaker and a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Livingston.
Born July 17, 1915, in Smith County, she was the daughter of the late Fed and Maggie (Jones) Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. John Henry Brown, or better known as J.H. Brown.
Survivors include two daughters, Reba Johnson and Betty Jolley, both of Livingston; and 11 grandchildren.
