According to the 1940 U.S. Census Uncle Frank and Aunt Beth lived at 284 South Belridge, Belridge Oil Lease, Kern Co., Ca. The house was owned by the Belridge oil company and they paid $16.00 a month for the rent. The house no longer exists today and there are just oil pumps there now. Beth and Frank lived across the street from Beth's sister, Lillian.

I remember visiting Beth when she lived in Watsonville, Ca. My Dad, my Mother, my siblings and I had dinner at her home. She was such a gracious host and did her best to serve us all. She did have a slight accident and injured her knee. She was such a nice lady, my great aunt.

I also remember her and her daughter Bernice and Bernice's family coming to visit her mother Nancy, who lived in a house on our property. Beth did not ever learn how to drive very well so she always relied on her family for transportation.

Beth is survived by her daughters Evelyn (Don) Beeson and Bernice (James) Mitchell.

Beth's 4th great grandmother was Hannah Boone Stewart Pennington, the sister of Daniel Boone and the wife of John Stewart. Daniel Boone was Beth's 5th great uncle.
