Gloria Cooper-Thomas

SANTAN - Gloria Anne Cooper-Thomas, 75, of Upper Santan died on Nov. 11, 2011, at home.

visitation will be from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Friday at the Thomas home, with rosary recited at 5:30. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Anne Catholic Mission by the Rev. Ed Meulemans. Burial will be in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery.

Ms. Cooper-Thomas was born on April 3, 1936, in Upper Santan and was a daughter of Harry and Molly Cooper. She was a homemaker and liked doing puzzles, watching movies and being with her family. She also enjoyed chicken scratch music and was involved with the District 4 Elderly Center. She loved to help people and was a funny person.

Survivors include a daughter, Bernadette Cooper of Stotonic; two sons, Stephen Cooper of Lower Santan and Carlos Cooper of Chandler; a brother, Arnold Cooper of Sacaton; a sister Kateri Cooper of Wisconsin; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Thomas; two brothers, Bernard and Henry Cooper; and a sister, Margaret Tashquinth.
