Herbert was born August 7, 1924 in Kossouth, WI to Michael J. and Anna (Steeber) Baumann. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Grade School and was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Class of 1942.
On October 28, 1961 Herbert was united in marriage to Marion J. Weber at St. Ann Parish in Francis Creek, WI. Marion preceded him in death on January 12, 2007.
For thirty-five years Herbert was employed as a truck driver for Van Der Vaart Brick & Building Supply Co., retiring in 1986.
Herbert was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish.
Herbert is survived by two brothers and one sister, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Herbert was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and Erwin and five sisters, Olive, Mildred, Martha, Ida, and Esther.
Private family services were held for Herbert at Ballhorn Chapels with Rev. Michael Dineen officiating. Entombment has taken place at Holy Cross Mausoleum.
