Louise Owens, 80, of Washington, died at 5:05 a.m. Tuesday at Washington Nursing Center.

Born March 10, 1931, in Maysville, Ky., she was the daughter of Hubert and Margaret Jones.

She had been a cook at North Knox School and most of her life she was a homemaker and raised seven children.

She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Lora and Herman Smith of Huntsville, Ala., and Lisa Trinkle of Lawrenceville, Ill.; sons and daughters-in-law, Harlan "Ross" and Barbara Owens of Clayton, N.Y., Michael and Arlene Owens of Washington, Edward and Pam Owens of Bicknell, Leland Jay and Nancee Owens of Avon, and Mark and Elizabeth Owens of Oaktown; 18 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Harlan Owens, is deceased. Her parents; a sister, Ann Polley; and brothers Bud, Gene, Dude and Tom Jones are also deceased.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Gill Chapel. Burial will be in Freelandville Community Cemetery. Visitation is after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to the Alzheimer Association. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.gillsince1872.com
